What is it Made of?
What is Dermal Filler Made of?
Dermal Filler is simply a synthetized version of a gel like substance naturally found in our bodies called Hyaluronic Acid (essentially a sugar molecule) that is injected into the skin with the purpose of plumping the area to the point where any skin folds, deep creases, depressions in the skin or wrinkles are softened if not completely eliminated. It can also be used to define and contour the face such as to give a more chiselled jaw line.

Dermal Filler
Volume Restoration treatments can provide instant results & can last anywhere between 6-18 months depending on area treated, metabolism and how your body reacts generally speaking. Results may vary but most of our clients fall in the 6-18 month range. It is required you follow up 2 weeks after your initial appointment to reassess your results so we can determine together if additional product or tweaking is required. After this meeting if more product is needed, we see a significant difference in the longevity in which your filler will last.
Will It be obvoius to others?
At The Injection Bar, we aim to provide natural & subtle results. Though results are instant and you will notice right away, most people would just think you look really refreshed, bright & smooth.
We pride ourselves on natural beautification where it's not OBVIOUS that you've been filled with filler... unless that's the look you are after- in that case we can build up to your desired look!
What can I expect after?
Everyone is different and results and aftereffects may vary. However, most people can return to work immediately after your injections. You may have some mild swelling and sometimes a little bruising at the site of injection for 3-7 days. Ice may help if you experience any of that. You are required not to travel for 2 weeks post injection & are asked to return for a 2 week follow up (can be virtual) as it takes this long for filler to integrate with your tissue- this reassessment is required in case a top-up is needed for optimal results.
